On April 3, 2025, the four-day Korea Pack 2025 exhibition successfully concluded at the KINTEX Exhibition Center in Goyang.
As an early entrant in the field of eco-friendly sugarcane pulp tableware, LuzhouPack made a stunning debut with its full range of innovative pulp molding processes and products. At this grand event for the Asian packaging industry, the company demonstrated its core capabilities—“replacing plastic with bamboo and reshaping the future with sugarcane bagasse”—to clients from Korea and around the world.

### Technological Breakthroughs: Two Core Processes Redefining Standards for Eco-Friendly Tableware
In an era where “plastic bans” and carbon neutrality have become global consensus, mere biodegradability is no longer sufficient to meet the demands of the high-end market. At this exhibition, we highlighted two breakthrough technologies that directly address the pain points of South Korea’s catering and food packaging industries:
1. Pulp Molding with Laminating Process
To meet the stringent requirements of food packaging for oil resistance, water resistance, and high-temperature tolerance, our laminating process utilizes bio-based water-based coating technology. This creates a dense, smooth protective layer on the surface of sugarcane pulp tableware without using traditional plastics (in scenarios where PE/PLA are restricted) or by achieving superior barrier performance.
- Customer testing: When used to hold high-oil, high-moisture foods such as Korean spicy stir-fried rice cakes and sauce-coated fried chicken, there was no leakage or deformation after 60 minutes.
- Eco-friendly closed-loop: The coating and pulp share the same origin, allowing them to be recycled together with the pulp, truly realizing the principle of “from nature, back to nature.”
2. Vacuum Packaging Process
Our key focus here is the end-user food preservation vacuum packaging solution: fresh meats, vegetables, fruits, prepared foods, or cakes and pastries are placed in pulp-molded trays, covered with high-barrier film, and then vacuum-sealed. The film conforms tightly to the shape of the food and tray, effectively blocking oxygen and moisture to inhibit bacterial growth.
Real-world market testing: When diced pumpkin and spinach were placed in our film-covered trays and vacuum-sealed, they remained crisp and fresh with no juice leakage after 7 days of refrigeration at 4°C.
_Process Advantages: The sugarcane pulp trays themselves possess excellent rigidity and smooth edges, making them perfectly compatible with automated vacuum skin packaging lines to ensure airtight seals;
Additionally, the drainage channel design on the tray bottom (customizable) collects condensation, preventing food from becoming waterlogged.

### Product Showcase: All-Scenario Pulp Molding Trays, Covering Every Aspect of Daily Life
We brought more than just process samples to the exhibition booth—we presented a complete “food-contact-grade” solution. From upscale dessert shops to the prepared food sections of large supermarkets, dozens of pulp molding trays became the focal point of on-site inquiries:
- Fruit Trays: The textured, embossed base design minimizes surface bruising on fruit, while the lamination process prevents juice leakage, making them a perfect fit for the high-end fruit gift market in South Korea.
- Cake and Dessert Plates: Geometric corrugated edges combined with a sturdy rounded-corner folded structure blend aesthetics with functionality, capable of withstanding condensation from thawed frozen mousses.
- Hot Meal Tray: Specifically designed for Korean-style compartmentalized meals (kimchi compartment, main dish compartment, rice compartment), heat-resistant up to 120°C, and suitable for direct use in microwaves and ovens, replacing traditional black PP plastic meal boxes.
The exhibition also showcased customized products such as stackable sushi trays and meat packaging trays, fully demonstrating our rapid response capabilities in mold development.

### Looking Ahead: Deepening Our Presence in Korea, Smart Manufacturing for Sustainability
This Korea Packaging Expo was not merely a product showcase but a milestone in our deepening engagement with the East Asian eco-friendly packaging market. Through face-to-face interactions, we have more clearly defined our localized service direction—providing one-stop ODM services ranging from mold design and film grade selection to vacuum export packaging.
Our commitment does not end with the conclusion of the exhibition. If you were unable to attend the event at KINTEX or would like to request a test kit of samples from this exhibition, please feel free to contact our international business team at any time. Let us work together to transform sugarcane bagasse, lightening the Earth’s burden and adding value to your brand.
